Chemical vapor deposition of aluminum for ulsi applications

Aluminum has been used widely as a conducting material in the fabrication of integrated circuits, and chemical vapor deposition process for Al has been actively investigated for the application in ultra large scale integration. In this review, various precursors, mainly alkyl aluminum and alane compounds, and reaction mechanisms of these precursors in Al CVI) are described. Epitaxial growth and selectivity of the deposition are also discussed. In addition to thermal reactions, plasma and photochemical reactions are also briefly described.

A new environmental friendly method for the preparation of sugar acids via catalytic oxidation on gold catalysts

A novel and efficient way of producing of aldonic acids is reported. The selective catalytic oxidation of monosaccharides (arabinose, ribose, xylose, lyxose, mannose, rhamnose, glucose, galactose, N-acetyl-glucosamine) and disaccharides (lactose, maltose, cellobiose, melibiose) on Au, Pd and Pt catalysts was investigated. By using the gold catalyst, a total selectivity with respect to aldonic acids and a high catalytic activity for all investigated sugars was found. The reaction conditions for the production of maltobionic and lactobionic acids via oxidation on gold catalysts were optimised. A high long-term stability of two different gold catalysts for the oxidation of maltose and lactose, respectively, was found.

Twinning of YBa2Cu3O7 thin films on different substrates

The twinning of YBa₂Cu₃O₇ (YBCO) thin films with c-axis orientation on (001) MgO, (001) SrTiO₃, (012) LaAlO₃, (110) NdGaO₃ and (001) NdGaO₃ substrates, prepared by laser ablation, has been examined using a combination of and θ/2θ scans at a four-circle diffractometer. On all substrates, except for (001) NdGaO₃, the tetragonal to orthorhombal phase transition results in four different orientations of YBCO twins relating to the substrate. On (001) NdGaO₃ only two different twin orientations, accompanied by a slight lattice monoclinization, has been observed.

强激光热斑形成及其稳定性研究

在论述热点跟踪及其传热机理时将靶材的比热溶、热传导系、在激光的热藕合系数均考虑成温度和时间的函数，又考虑靶材在运动时将激光辐照物体时热点的建立及其稳定情况作一动态数值模拟，为热点跟踪作准备。     

10W QCW operation of a proton implanted GaAlAs diode laser array

We report one thick layer of hard-baked photoresist mask.The laser array stripe pattern was defined by standard wet lithography.With this mask, a 10 W QCW(quasi-continuous wave) operation of a narrow proton implanted multiple stripe conventional single quantum well separate confinement heterostructure(SQW-SCH) GaAlAs diode laser array has been realized.These devices exhibit the lateral far-field radiation pattern of a phase-locked array of gain-guided semiconductor injection laser array. The twenty stripe laser array has a lateral far-field beam divergence full width at half maximum (FWHM) of less than 3°, and three twenty stripe laser array has a beam divergence in the plane of the junction of about 9°.
